Privacy Policy — Open Notifier

1. Who We Are

Open Notifier (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a notification delivery platform operated as a personal project. You can reach us at hello@open-notifier.io.

2. What We Collect

Account data — email address and hashed password when you register.
Device tokens — FCM tokens for push notification delivery.
Notification content — title, body, and payload you send through the API.
Usage data — request logs, error traces, and delivery status for operational purposes.
Waitlist data — your email if you join the Pro waitlist.

We do not collect payment information directly. We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data.

3. How We Use Your Data

Delivering notifications you request through the API.
Authenticating your account and keeping it secure.
Improving reliability and debugging errors.
Contacting you about your account or the Pro waitlist.

4. Data Retention

Notification history is retained for 90 days, after which it is automatically purged. Account data is retained until you request deletion. You may request full deletion at any time by emailing hello@open-notifier.io.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following sub-processors to operate the platform:

Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notification delivery.
Telegram Bot API — Telegram channel delivery.
Sentry — error monitoring.

Each processor handles data under their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data required for delivery.

6. Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — the raw key is shown once and never stored. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We apply reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@open-notifier.io. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email or a notice on the dashboard. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
